Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

During the winter while I am less active with lacrosse I participate on my high schools swim team. Swim team allows me to stay physically active year round. I feel this gives me an edge on the lacrosse field because it allows me to focus on my lacrosse skills and not so much on the physical aspect of the game. As my swim season comes to an end I find myself in great physical condition and ready to make a difference on the lacrosse field from the start.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Participated past 2 years in Toys for Tots program. Sorted toys and assisted families choose toys based on the number of children in each family. This was a very humbling and at the same time satisfying activity for me. To help needy families at the holidays and to see the stress relief for most of these parents was very satisfying for me.

I also participated the past 2 years in the annual "reach out Lancaster event". This is an event each year where corporations donate various food items to compile holiday dinners to needy families. This year we compiled and distributed 2000 holiday meals in a 5 hour period. This was a very rewarding event for me. We arrive at 4:45 am and there is already a line forming for these meals. It makes me more aware of just how many less fortunate families there are in our local area and I appreciate my good fortune and the opportunities presented to me.
