Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the court I show strong leadership skills by always staying positive and being an example to the rest of the team to keep our energy high and to keep pushing points, I love to encourage others because i can help them pull out their strengths and help them not be down on themselves. Off the court I show leadership within the classroom by always being involved in disscussion and asking questions when I am confused about something. This sets an example to my peers to not be afraid to ask questions.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue "healthy athletic performace" as a student-athlete by eating the most important meal of the day, breakfast, everyday, as well as all the other meals. I also try to eat healthy to keep up with all the excersize i am getting through volleyball. I also pursue this by not giving into peer pressure. I have found a new group of friends who choose to stay above the influence with me, as we all have sports goals we want to attain, and we know better and make good choices.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

The way i am involved in my community is through my schools National Honor Society. This was important for me to join because it feels good to help out members of my community. It is also enjoyable and the work doesnt even seem like volunteering. It is also nice to be around other kids who share the same passion in helping out our community.
