Personal Highlights

I'm a hardworking student at Florida Atlantic University. I recently graduated from Pompano Beach High School. I took some time off but my love for the game has brought me back and I'm trying to play once again. I've gotten stronger and better conditioned. I'm always striving to be the best person, athlete, and student I can possibly be.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I was the captain of the 2012 Pompano Beach High School JV baseball team.
I was Platoon Sergeant in JROTC at my school and I'm in charge of 10 students. I'm currently a captain on the 2014 Varsity team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I attend practice every day, always looking forward to it. I run at least a mile every day. I go to the gym every day before school and have a strict routine. In the afternoon, I do a series of baseball specific workouts. My diet is stacked with protein and carbohydrates, and I don't eat unhealthy foods. The days after I pitch, I run for about 30 minutes.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteered as a summer camp counselor in 2010. I've umpired Little League games for Coral Springs American LL. I've instructed 8-10 year olds at Florida Pokers baseball clinics about the fundamentals of the game, including the mental aspect. These efforts allow me to reach out to the community that supports me. I constantly meet new people through my service and I don't regret any of it. As of now, I have 234 service hours.
