Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I feel that I have a great deal of responsibility to my teams. I feel people look up to me as a captain, as a friend, and as a person. I believe in leadership by example is important so I try to demonstrate my leadership not only by being the best athlete but I can strive to be the best person I can. Sportsmanship is a key factor in the athletic aspect of it. I show good sportsmanship always and try to influence my team to do the same. The way I act in the community is also a way they look up to me and that is why I try to be a strong influence in our community. I believe i was given this gift not only to help influence me but other so I have take leadership responsibilities as far as service to our community through being an eagle scout.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I think it is very important to so to speak "pursue healthy athletic performance" That is why I chose running I believe it helps in all aspects of life whether it be hard diligent work or just by the way it Keeps me physically and mentally healthy and strong, not only has it helped my physical well being but i also believe it has helped my spiritual, emotional, and intellectual well being as well. This I believe to be very important for student-athletes because it can very well improve your school performance because the first part in the statement "student athlete" is student. This always comes before athlete and keeps my eye on the purpose, which is to learn and grow as a human being. This sport is the best sport that keeps all these ideas in mind.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am an eagle scout and have associated with scouting service groups such as order of the arrow. For my eagle project I worked with a humanitarian group called The Road homes. This humanitarian work is specifically for the homeless to help provide necessities mainly clothing to help prepare and help build these people to get back on there feet and create a good life in the work world. They help provide help with not only providing such material but also helping them grow and become a good member of society in life and in the work force. This is a link to there website for more information, I plan on teaming up with some charity to have a 5k run for charity. I believe it only to be fair to utilize my talents in running and incorporate it in to my life in a way that it doesn't only affect me in a positive way but others. I haven't gone in super deep with this yet but hope to do something to this affect in the near future.
