Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the court as well as at practice, I demonstrate leadership by constantly talking to my teammates, helping them to understand the direction and expectations of the coach. I also like to be the voice on the floor which encourages each member on my team to stay focused, positive and to play with passion.

Off the floor, I spend much of my free time in the gym working on basketball skills, as well as strength and agility. I volunteer my time with the coaches and trainers that have mentored me through the years.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Much thought is put into what I eat before and after work outs and games in order that I can perform at my best.
I spend as much time as possible in researching the benefits of various kinds of foods and nutrition in assisting with athletic performance and muscle recovery.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer with Speechless Basketball and Yes I Can Basketball in Charlotte, NC.

These are both youth basketball training programs that had a huge impact on my life. I want to be able to give back to the community that helped shape my life.
