Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I think one of my greatest traits is leadership. On the course, I help others when they are struggling. If a player has a rules issue or a lost ball, I help them out as much as I can. During practice, if I notice a player is being disrespectful or screwing around, I ask him to show respect and stay on task. The same goes for off the course. During school I try to keep kids focused and engaged and I never treat a kid as if her or she is less than somebody else.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I maintain a healthy athletic performance by remembering that I am a student-athlete in which academics comes first. While I am dedicated to golf, I have learned the importance of balance. I focus on the task at hand and keep my sport separate from my school or work. Whether I am on the course or in the classroom, my attention is focused on the task. I also think it is important to keep physically fit. I work out almost everyday and try to eat healthy.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved throughout the community by going on mission trips through my church. I truly enjoy these because it really opens your eyes to the hardships that people face that most other people don't realize.I think all to often we take for granted the things we really shouldn't. This is important to me because I really like helping others and getting to know other people and their lives. I also believe in paying it forward. I think that what you put in into life, you will get in return. That's why i do my nest to attend fundraisers and other events throughout my community.
