Personal Highlights

Tyler is an above average athlete with exceptional athletic skills and instincts, above average speed and in depth baseball knowledge. He has been playing travel ball since the age of nine, with the luxury of having three coaches who have played professional baseball and another who played Division I baseball at a major SEC school.

Tyler excels scholastically with over a 3.25 GPA this year with a course load that consisted of all honors and AP classes in his first year in High School. He is an elected official in his high school class, and an active member of Young Life.

In addition to baseball, Tyler also excels in hockey and this year played for the Nashville Jr. Predators U16 AA travel club where he scored 9 goals with 7 assists.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In 2010 I was selected to attend the National Youth Leadership council in Atlanta Ga. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet with other people my age, and gain a fundamental understanding of what it takes to be a good leader both on and off the playing field.

I have also been elected as a student council representative for the past two years and this year was elected Secretary of the Student Council for my Sophmore year in High School.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a two sport athlete I understand how important it is to stay in shape. In addition to baseball, I also play travel Hockey at the AA level for the Nashville Jr Predators U16 program. I try to focus on my diet and eat healthy whenever possible. I also enjoy bicycling and other outdoor sports.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
