Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have been the captain of the Fremont Lady Eagles Golf Team for the past two years. This past year I was the only senior on a team of four freshman and a junior. We are all great friends and I think that they look up to me. I helped coach the four freshman when they were on the middle school team. I make sure that they are all able to get to practice and work hard to get better. This year our team did really well. I make sure that everyone knows when practice is and if anything changes. Especially this year with a team of almost all freshman and a new coach, I really felt like the leader of the team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in the National Honors Society. We do things like group service projects and help anyone that asks for it. Our latest project was decorating the nursing homes for Christmas. It was awesome to see all of them so happy. I volunteer at our local Humane Society. I love finding homes for animals and seeing happy endings. I was the president of the Clear Lake Ski Club for two years and I was the treasurer for the two years before that. The club is for kids up to the age of 18 and we do things like fun activities and fundraisers for the kids around Clear Lake. At the end of every summer we put on an annual water ski show for the whole community. I also help assistant coach the middle school girls and boys golf team. I go to their practices and matches and help teach them the fundamentals of golf. I really enjoy this and I can't wait for the next season.
