Personal Highlights

Hello! My name is Taylor Hayes and I am a junior at School of the Osage in Osage Beach, MO. I am a hard working student and dedicated athlete. In addition to taking required classes, I am enrolled in AP, college, and honors classes. I currently have a 4.0 GPA. I am involved in our student government, show choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, Key Club, National Honors Society, and Pep Club. I plan to major in accounting in college. In addition to my academics, my dream is to be a part of a collegiate golf team. I enjoy playing golf everyday and practicing regularly. I am always looking to improve my game and to become a better all-around player. My father is a member of the PGA and is very influential in helping me to improve my mental and physical game.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am the team captain of my golf team and help all of them girls in any way I can. Because of my experience, they look to me for advice and help on and off of the golf course. I am executive treasurer of the student government and help lead the projects and services we provide our student body.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Having a good attitude and good habits help me to peruse a healthy athletic performance. I workout several times a week and practice regularly. I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and balance my activities well. I try to have a positive attitude with everything I do. These things help me to be successful on and off the course.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in my church youth group and participate in the service activities we provide our community. Every fall we rake leaves for the members of our church and host a senior citizens dinner. I am also involved in Key Club through my school. We raise money for UNICEF and other organizations in our community. I believe that giving back should be an important part of everyones life. Being able to help others in need gives me great joy.
