Other Academic Information
I am not set on a specific major, but the overall category will have to do with the arts. I enjoy drawing, so I would love to be something like an animator for commercials, movies, or television shows. Another area I'm looking into for a major is film editing and production because the development of movies interest me. Also, I plan on minoring in business. For my studies, internships are a must.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

One example of leadership I performed was being the captain of the JV field hockey team at my school. I was the most experienced on the team and the team nominated my friend and I to be captains. I enjoyed leading the team, and we had a lot of fun throughout the season.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue "healthy athletic performance" by not getting involved with drugs or alcohol. I have never used drugs, not have I ever been asked or pressured to do so. I involve myself with a very good and healthy group of friends who would never get into smoking, drugs, or drinking. I've never been to a party where their was underage drinking either. I don't see how teens think using steroids makes them better because it is cheating and I want to achieve skills without substance abuse.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Volunteer work is the best kind of work because when I dedicate the time and effort to help people, I don't expect anything in return, unlike a set job. My favorite place to volunteer is at the Levoy Theatre in Millville, NJ. It is a theatre run on volunteer efforts, and it feels good to help a restored building from history come back to life in this century. At the Levoy, I can work the concession stand or coat room, usher, or scan tickets. I also volunteered at the Angel's Food Bank for the Calvary Bible Baptist Church. There, I helped poor families put their free groceries together and I help carry them out to their cars. The last thing I do is I'm a part of my school's Key Club, who are a part of Kiwanis. We do many different volunteer activities for Key Club, such as busing tables at a Kiwanis breakfast, helping with a blood drive, and face painting kids at fairs and festivals.
