Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have enjoyed working with and assisting children with special needs since I was in 6th grade. As an AYSO VIP volunteer I was able to help multi-handicapped children on the soccer field. I also work as an AYSO soccer referee. I have volunteered at Hattie Larlham, a non-profit organization that provides services to more than 1,500 children and adults with developmental disabilities. Here I was able to work with wheelchair bound children as a therapy aid. I have also been fortunate enough to work for a week in an orphanage in China for children with cerebral palsy. This was a truly humbling experience that taught me how blessed we are to live in America. The past 2 summers I went on mission trips with my youth group to the Catholic Heart Workcamp in Greensburg, PA and Indiana. I hope to continue to help others and share the gifts God has given to me.
