The Most Field Event Plaque
Our track team consists of only 7 men. I do 6 events every track meet (not including finals). I do all this to help my team, get the points, and to make myself a better athlete.
Still in the season but so far District Champion in Long Jump and 4x1

I am currently a senior at Charlottesville High School. I am a responsible, motivated person, with strong leadership qualities. I work hard and make my own decisions. I am not the type of person that waits until the last minute to let somebody know something. I like to let people know in advance if I might need them to do something for me. All of the decisions that I make are done in a professional and positive manner. I get all of my work turned in on time and strive to be organized. I am a member of the Advanced Choir, Football team, Indoor Track team, and Outdoor Track team. Outside of school, I work for the YMCA as both a basketball and flag football referee. This helped me a lot because it made me more comfortable talking to people. I formerly worked as a personal trainer for Golds Gym. I still manage to keep my grades at a 3.0 average. Im energetic and this serves me well when I take part in activities in and out of school. I have a lot of school spirit and I use my influence on others to elicit the same from others. I love to have fun by going out and experiencing new things. I was bestowed the honor of being Homecoming King this past year. For the morning show at school, I am the Sports Reporter via our television news show. I exude energy. Each day is what you want to make of it. I wake each day count.
I believe that I exhibit a lot of leadership both in and out of school. When someone is not doing the right thing, I am not afraid to let them know just that. On my football team, I have received many awards for the leadership skills I exhibit throughout the season. On my track team, I was the anchor that enabled the team to go all the way to the State Tournament; a tournament in which my relay team won the Championship. Outside of school, the community looks at me as a leader, as well.
I will stay focused on finishing my classes this year. When I graduate from high school, I will be playing football or running track on a full sports scholarship in college. I applied to over 10 schools and have now narrowed them down to three. My top three schools are North Carolina A & T, Virginia State University and Bowie State University. I want to work towards pursing a double major in Business and Management and Communications. I will also try to find a job to make money. Working towards getting a degree, playing a sport, and having a job is going to take a lot of time, but I am willing to do what ever it takes to maintain 100% focus on achieving my goals.
I like to think of myself as being persistent as I work well under pressure and never let obstacles deter me from reaching my goals. I am passionate about obtaining success because I expect nothing but the best for myself and others. I would not consider myself as a follower but a frontrunner for my school as I follow the right principles. I am well educated and I take pride in what I do. I strive to be respectful towards everyone I encounter. I am a well- rounded individual. I have a lot of determination. I am motivated. No limits. No boundaries. I just see myself with an endless horizon of possibilities. I aspire to do the best that I can in the future as I plan to own my own business.
