Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have demonstrated leadership on the field by attaining captain of my team. I have lead my team through off season workouts (the first ever for the team) and I made sure whenever we had a tough loss, and there were not many, that none of my team mates were too hard on themselves.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue healthy athletic performance by staying away form any PMD's (performance enhancing drugs), any illegal substances, and by maintaining a high GPA. All of this is tough to do in today's world, but I try my best to stay away from anything that can affect my life negatively.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have volunteered as a counselor at my parish's Vacation Bible Camp for the past 5 years. I help lead and teach the kids, ages 5-10, at the camp. I am currently starting my process towards becoming part of my local EMS Service, and eventually becoming part of an EMT crew.
