Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a chochair of the Youth Citizenship award, which means I select a youth member in the community who has done something great for others. I show leadership by going out and finding a recipient and by being one of the people who started this committee. On the field it doesn't matter if I'm the youngest or the oldest, I always will go to another player and pick him up if he is down or if he needs help I'll spend my free time with them correcting something they need fixed.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I get lots of sleep and eat many vegetables at all of my meals. I stay away from candies and deserts as much as possible. I always am working out and trying to stay in shape. I do anything to be in best shape for my team and for my body. I do this because being healthy is a big part of life.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in our City of Centralia Youth Commision, I was a part of the very first year and will continue through my last year possible (senior year). I am very strong with this group because I feel like the youth in our city needs to be more active and needs more things to do. I am a cochair in a monthly award, Youth Citizenship Award, which is given to a special recipient every month. This is selected by the cochairs and then presented to our senior commissioners, who then invite them to the next city council meeting. At the meeting, I speak saying why they were selected and thenIi present the award in front of the city council and all those at the meeting.
