Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

When I am not playing a sport, I try to be a visible example of what a runner, soccer player, or water polo player is and how a player should represent themselves and their sport. While participating in a particular sport, I try my best to lead by example. I keep a positive attitude, am respectful of my coaches and fellow teammates, and I encourage my team to do their best. When things go wrong, I try to keep myself and my team focused on the next goal (not the last one) and on working together. When I am at my club practices, I try to help and encourage the younger players whenever possible.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I am committed to my practices, workouts and eating nutritiously. The most important thing my routine has taught me is how to manage my time and balance my priorities.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I regularly volunteer to teach at kindergarten Sunday School as well as Vacation Bible School at my church. I have also spent time taking therapy dogs to visit residents at a nursing home, and volunteering to serve the homeless through Beautiful Feet Ministry in Fort Worth, Tx. I love to give back to my community, share my passions, and help others. In my Sophomore year at school I earned the Timothy Award for 100 hours of service during the school year.
