I am a converted soccer player where I played 10 years for club and Camden. I had a desire to play field hockey and made the switch my Freshman year. I played one year JV and have played the last 3 years on Varsity. I have started at center midfielder my entire career and have been fortunate to be undefeated in league play since converting to field hockey. My dream is to continue to compete and learn at the collegiate level.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I've been blessed to be a varsity athlete since I was in 9th grade and since I know it can be scary, I have worked hard to make sure my teammates are welcomed and understand they are an important part of our team. When things go bad, I'm there to try and pick them up and keep working hard. Win or lose you give your all in games and preparation. I try to lead by example off the field as well by working hard in class and participating in important activities such as SADD, NHS and Student Counsel.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

For me it's a desire to be the best I can be by being as prepared as I can be. I work hard to be successful on and off the field because hard work does pay off. I try to eat right and take it upon myself during the off season to develop a plan that keeps me in shape physically and mentally. I love competing and thrive on continual improvement. It's not always easy but I know my efforts will pay off for me in everything I set out to accomplish.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I'm currently involved with SADD, Student Counsel and NHS. Through these organizations, I'm involved with educating youth on important decisions that can save lives. I'm also involved with so much to help the students and community through organized community service efforts as well as those things I enjoy giving back to. I help modified coaches in all the sports I play in order to help coaches and players alike as I want to give back. I been involved with community clean-ups in the Spring and Fall and is important for community pride. I try to show my appreciation for all those who have help me along the way as I live in a tightknit community and I'm thankful for all those that have taken the time to help shape who I am.
