Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I am a leader on and off the court. On the court as a 10th grader on the Varsity, I was selected by my head coach to represent my team for our school's Student Senate Committee. This Committee meets with the Principle and VPs at our school monthly to discuss "student" issues. As a junior, I was selected as a captain. I am a very versatile player, and athletic. I am up-beat, high energy, and positive to all my teammates and coaches. I put my team first, before my own personal accomplishments.

Off the court, I am very conscientious student who works hard in the classroom. And because of my heard work in the classroom, I was selected and inducted into my school's National Honor Society. I have over 250 community service hours. I volunteer every chance I get. I am in various clubs at my school, and I also manager the girls basketball team. I volunteer my time with my local youth. Whether it's volunteering to support my high school girls basketball team, instruct at a volleyball camp or an art camp every summer.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a student-athlete I eat healthy snacks and meals. I practice 3 days a week with volleyball. Also, I participate in a weekly training session at API - a sport performance training campus. We do strength training, speed development and directional changes.

I also run on my own when time permits for endure purposes.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Giving back to my community is very important to me. I had many, many coaches when I was a young child that would volunteered their time to coach and instruct me when I was young. I want to give back and pay it forward to those that were role models while I was young.
