Coaches Award

I have done the best I could with what the volleyball program at my school has to offer. My aau team is more competitive. Stats arent great due to turnover of coaches. My high school team was better this year we lost almost all matches but were within a few points each game. My team lacked the height. I wish I had more to offer in statistics. I would say I average 15/16 assists a game for aau.

Other Academic Information
I am have moved up from tenth in my class to 8th. I dont think my act score reflects my years of Being a straight A student. I have had a 4.0 since we began getting letter grades. I have been on an all state academic team for two years in high school for volleyball. I anticipate the same for this coming year. I will be retaking the english and reading portion of the act to better my score this fall. I just needed more time it wasnt that I didn't understand the test. I have received the woho's who and have been invited to washington several times for academics. I have been a three sport athlete and then play asu volleyball on top of he spring sport. Please consider me when selecting a student/athlete. I am a very honest hard working person.

Personal Highlights

I know that i have had to set for all these years and would probably be a libero or ds at a college level, but I am open to this and excited for any opportunity to play beyond high school. I received the coaches award for my hard work ethic and for the respect I gave the coaches. I earned honorable mention both years for the MEN top athletes all county. My Longevity 2015 AAU team has four tournaments left April 19th Adrian College- April 26th Adrian College- May 10th U of M Dearborn- May 23rd U of M Dearborn.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I think that i represent myself well by staying out of drama and negativity. I am a leader because i have always been a setter and have to keep the players up and run the court. I feel i have to see the big picture and make split decisions and smart ones. I have never drank or even been to a party something many people I know cannot attest to. I have no desire to do that as well as my family is strict in faith and being a person who suceeds in life.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I think playing three sports and going beyond to fit aau in shows my drive. I do jump training the summer to stay fit. I have done crossfit as well. I dont drink soda/pop. I try to eat right as best I can and make healthy choices for meals that will help me to perform the best I physically and mentally can.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have volunteered with special olympics and at the nursing homes to help the aides. I help do volleyball camps with my mom who has played at the college level and working with the kids has helped me to keep the fun part of the sport alive. We all have a reason we start to do sports and usually itis because we find the work pating off and see results of a positive nature. I like to still get excited to see teammates and to play with them. I still like to cheer them on and to push myself to run new plays faster and better than before. In aau we dont get as much time to practice with each other, but each game we try to improve.
