Personal Highlights

I am looking for a division 1,11,or 111 school that has a womens diving program and has the academic programs for sociology and psychology.
I recently finished my junior year in high school and have AP credits for Psychology and English.
I just started my first USA diving competition this spring and am continuing throughout this year with Karla Helder for Wings diving as well as my 5th year in high school diving.
I am taking AP courses my senior year and I am taking ACT with writing this December.
I also am starting an internship my senior year with the East Aurora Advertiser.
My athletic and academic resume can be forwarded upon request.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

By leading through example at the pool to my younger teammates divers and swimmers by being at practice everyday sometimes twice a day going to clinics and bringing the younger divers with me to the clinics and offering support to them. As well as being president in my school diversity club and model united nations and LEAD organization at my high school.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

By having a schedule consisting of practice five times a week and making time for my studies.
I find that by having higher standards that I set for myself I do not have the time or the inclination for unhealthy activities.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Volunteered since freshman year at the
East Aurora Adult day care. I have a standing invite to come into the facility to volunteer. I have been nominated through the Aurora Adult day care center to WGRZ kids giving back award. I have an
Internship with east aurora advertiser my senior year three days a week during school hours instead of study halls I work on articles for the local paper and work with and directly with the Editor.
I volunteered at Christmas time as a doorman collecting money for local businesses in East Aurora to raise funds for ROC program.
I feel it is important to give back to my local community.
