Break out 2019 season, moved into top 5 runners of strong Lake Zurich team which is ranked 11th in state 3A heading into sectionals. After undergoing reconstructive surgery on both feet in middle school, has developed into an outstanding runner who is just scratching the surface of his talent. Brother of Alex Brend, former University of Minnesota Track and Field Athlete, 2011 Illinois 3A 800M State Champion, 2011 NSSF High School All-American. U of M freshman mile record holder.
