Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

During tennis practice, I often find myself helping the junior varsity and freshman players with technical skills of tennis. Ex: Correct way to hold racket, Proper forehand, Proper serve, etc.

Off the courts I become the leader for multiple activities, in which I tell my team/group the best way to do something while also being efficient. Ex: Class projects and activities where there is a certain hierarchy of positions. Working to clean up city parks and medians beside roads. etc.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I'm not sure how to explain this, so instead I will run you through a day in the life of me.

I wake up and stretch.
Eat breakfast. Normally consisting of Eggs, Orange juice, and Toast.
Get ready for school (weekdays)
Attend school.
Eat Lunch. Normally Consisting of a two sandwiches, 2 waters, a type of fruit, and chips.
Finish school.
Attend Practice:
2 Laps around tennis courts,
Stretches,
Warm ups, (serves, forehand, backhand, net)
Play 2-3 Singles games,
Cool down stretches,
Eat dinner. (too much food to list)
Sleep 8-9+ hours

Then, as you can imagine its a repeated cycle.
On weekends I go on 5 mile runs each day.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I was an active member in Student Council every year of my education, starting in 7th grade.
I do community service involving activities such as: Parades, FunFest, Competitions, Concessions.
Enrolled in Boy Scouts for 4 years. Very respectful and brought up well.
