Personal Highlights

I was a level 9 gymnast through my freshman year in high school. I began diving before my junior year at Hudson High School in Hudson, Ohio.

In addition to my diving practices (including 7 board practices and 2 weight training sessions), I also do Zumba, Total Body Toning and weight training on my own. I am a self starter and eat very well (with the help of my Mom, an exceptional cook).

I enjoy volunteering including the Service Learning Program at Hudson High School and Appalachian Service Project (ASP). I also raised over $40,000 for Rainbow Babies Children's Hospital through door-to-door efforts, raffles and fundraisers.

I enjoy time with my family and friends, watching New Girl and other sitcoms and reading half a fiction book before moving on to the next one. I am a hardworking student, an enthusiastic volunteer an exceptional teammate and the world's largest ice cream fan.

I am proud that I was the first diver ever to receive the Hudson High School Swimming/ Diving Coach's Award for the 2013-14 season.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

As diving team captain for the 2014-2015 season, I have shown the other divers what hard work and dedication can produce. I have been diving for 16 months and have qualified for the Ohio High School State Championships.

Outside the pool, I attend church each week, volunteer regularly and have lived up to my athletic contract with Hudson High School to not drink or smoke. I am a Deans List student.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

In addition to my 7 board practices and 2 weight training sessions per week, I also attend Zumba and Total Body Toning classes. I live and believe "you are what you eat" except for my love of ice cream.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

As a gymnast at Gym World in Brecksville, Ohio, I raised over $40,000 for Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. It was an opportunity to support my gym and to help kids. My time raising money for the hospital has helped me in deciding to pursue my degree in Early Childhood Education.

I also enjoy volunteering with Appalachian Service Project (ASP For one week during the summer I have worked with families in West Virginia rebuilding homes and making new friends.

I was also interviewed and chosen to participate in Hudson High School's Service Learning Program where I spent a semester working as a teachers aid. My second semester I am working with Head Start where I have to bring a positive attitude to classes of low income families. It breaks my heart that they come to us hungry and from broken families. I think my job is to be the best part of their day.

I have also volunteered at my church working with children as a Sunday School Teacher.
