I am coach-able and open to receiving feedback that helps me improve my game. I have a strong work ethic and am accustomed to the hard work necessary to be successful
-high school course load: all advanced honors, and AP courses;
◦Individually I have taken the League MVP title for Three years.
I am a very hard worker and no matter the adversity or the obstacle is, I work my way through it and grind out everything I possibly can to make the best out of every opportunity that presents itself to me. This has enabled me to succeed on and off the golf course.
I am always striving for excellence. I am persevering, and will never quit on anything. Whether it be studies or athletic requirements, I have a great desire to be the best golfer I can be as well as being the best student I can be. I am very competitive and dedicated to pursuing my goals to maintain and improve my game.
I want a coach who will push me beyond my limits to continue striving for a better golf game and a better future.. Although this is an athletic program, I hope that my coach will help me to excel academically as well as athletically.
I'm driven, hardworking, and I'm serious about making a positive impact on the team that I play for. I want to take your team to the next level. I have five varsity letters, and with the completion of my senior year, I will have 6, in addition to that I have held myself to a high academic standards. I am a confident person when it comes to golf. Whether it is on the first tee box or the last, I love being a part of the team. I like helping people mentally and physically, and I like seeing our team as a whole rise and get better and go on to better things. I enjoy playing for a Coach that values their players and supports individual efforts while molding and building a complete team. One thing I have learned is no one player can carry a team but each playing their best can contribute to a successful team. I always look forward so I am looking forward for a spot on a team at a school where I can help, learn, and succeed. I am not a quitter. I enjoy challenges, and I work very hard on my schoolwork as well as my golf.
Being a leader does not only include showing leadership skills at my school but everywhere I go. I am a member of my school's National Honor Society, International Spanish club and in the top 5% of my class.Over the last three years, I have learned how to maintain my grades while playing HS golf, working a part-time job and practicing outside of school. I have been captain for my school's golf team for four years along with being captain of the soccer team. I have also played varsity tennis and was a part of my school's tracks & field team. Outside of school, I tutor kids in my community and work with them one on one to get a basic understanding of golf. I am always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. I have a strong set of core values and beliefs. I believe in honesty, respect, and hard work. I get along well with others and support my teammates to do well. I am a motivated person with a positive attitude and good work ethics. I am very supportive of my teammates and enjoy being on a golf team. I understand that even though golf is an individual sport, a golf team is just as important as each that belongs to that team. I am supportive of the team and everyone on my team. I coordinate plans with my high school golf teammates to go out and practice as frequently as I can during the off season. I feel that my sportsmanship is unique because I want to better everyone on my team and not just myself. I try to promote friendly rivalries and minimize conflicts by keeping a positive attitude, sharing information, and being available to my team. When I put my mind to something, I do everything in my power to make that happen. Because golf is such an important part of my life, I try to strive for being the best at it. I have found a love of the game of golf that drives me to improve my game Through my leadership experiences and volunteer work; I feel that my strong work ethic, organization skills, time management and commitment to my academic and athletic goals, will prepare me to be a good college student – athlete golfer.
Controlling my emotions
◦Understanding the importance of keeping a positive attitude no matter what is happening on the course.
◦Understanding the importance of a great short game and always putting extra practice into this aspect of the match.
◦Hitting Fairways, keeping the ball in play.
◦Recovering from bad shots and remaining "Neutral."
I understand that there is always room for improvement and that practice makes perfect.
There's only two options : Success that comes with the proper preparation…or the failure that comes when not enough focus is placed on putting the time in to practice and get better.”
Because of my participation in the community, I've gotten to meet some awesome people along the way while developing long lasting friendships. Doing community service is fun and sometimes can be rewarding. There's never such a thing as giving too much and that the best part about it. I have volunteered every year for at least 72 hours since the 5th grade. I have worked at animal shelters, schools, and various non-profit organizations that offer different classes and events in my community. I have collected hundreds of items to help those who are in need across the country. Some of my community services include hosting a blanket drive, tutoring kids in my community and collecting toys and toiletries items and sending them abroad. As I move through life I, I will always be involved in community service not just because I think it is important but because it is something I really enjoy and look forward to doing for the rest of my life. A community is where we find comfort in trying times. Therefore, I love bringing joy to people and putting smiles on people’s faces, and through my community service, I feel I can accomplish that. Even if it meant giving my all to save another person life, I would do so with happiness because I know that it brings me one step closer to becoming one big happy family.
