Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Giving back to the community is one of my top priorities when it comes to my high school career. Some of the clubs that I am involved with at school require the completion of service hours each semester. Over one school year I have completed over 40 service hours both at my school and in my community. Some of the ways I earned those hours include reffing volleyball games for younger grade school kids, tutoring middle school kids who are falling behind in their math and reading studies one on one, and pulling off a 6 hour dance marathon for the sole purpose of raising as much money as possible to contribute to pediatric cancer research. I see service as not a chore, but as enriching experience. No matter what I'm doing, giving back to the community allows me to learn more about myself and others, plus it feels good to know you are benefiting others.
