2014 - VERMONT STATE CHAMPION - 173 1st Place
2014 - Peru New York Invitational (18 teams) Voted Outstanding Wrestler

Please Note: Stats above: tournaments entered (3 years) - top five finishes includes tournaments, duals, etc. This season is approximately 42 wins. Unfortunately, I do not have exact statistics on myself at this time.

My proudest achievement is being announced as 'MOST OUTSTANDING WRESTLER' at Peru, NY Invitational--with about 22 teams. I was very honored. It is difficult to find experienced wrestlers where I live to gain more mat time; but I have worked extremely hard. This only tells me---I can do more.

2014 Journeymen Northeast Folkstyle Challenge--(177) 170-Champion
2014 Peru New York Invitationals--170 Champion (18 teams)

Each year since I began wrestling, I have gained more strength, knowledge and technique. I have challenged myself through camps advanced training and traveled to Iowa and other states (during the Summer throughout middle and high school) to practice and have competed with highly experienced wrestlers to better myself. I am very excited for college. I am confident that I will gain further strength and ability at the collegiate level. I assure you---I have the attitude, work ethic and determination.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Champlain Valley Union has amazing coaches. Many of the wrestlers were somewhat new. This can be 'different' for say a Freshman or Sophomore. I can sometimes spot these areas and use humor and encouragement to get the team going. Also, it helps to work with them on a move more than a few times until they feel more comfortable.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I grew up around fitness centers 'literally'. This isn't an issue for me. It's rather natural. I am very knowledgeable in exercise and nutrition. The nutrition and fitness needs to 'stay close' so that as season rounds the corner, I don't have far to go to bring it to that level.

I lift weights; strength and endurance training with equipment, free weights and body weight.

Because we are in Vermont, wrestling "up" is difficult, so I have had to make my way out of State to camps to increase my skills. I've also sought out wrestling when my family traveled if it was available. I feel my doing all of this is what took me so far.

My coaches indicate that I am very coachable and even though I've come this far---they can't wait to see what I do in college.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Salvation Army - Volunteer (organizing donations)
M25 - Volunteer (organize and load food donations for food shelf)
