|Primary Position||Middle Blocker|
Proud to have lead the team in blocks overall this year and that I had a personal best 12 blocks in one game at the Lakefront Invitational Tournament in Chicago. We took third place overall against some really good teams. We keep getting better as a team!
Also ended up third in hits and kills for the team at season's end.
Off the field others see my hard work and the results that come from setting goals and working to meet them. I play multiple sports and those around me see that I am dedicated and am someone that they can count on to do the right thing regardless of the situation.
I have been helping to organize a team for AAU play. I was able to get the group together and have been communicating with parents and team members weekly on our schedule.
I believe in a proper balance and respect for the activities I participate in. To me, Jesus Christ always comes first in my life. This gives me an attitude of humility and balance. It also drives me to always do my best in all things. In school, as much as I love being an athlete and competing, grades always come first. I am proud to continually be on the "High Honor Role" at school and maintain a 3.4 GPA with multiple honors classes. As an athlete, I compete in three sports (Golf, Basketball, and Volleyball), play AAU basketball out of season, work out daily, and have been participating in Achieve strength and quickness training.
I volunteer at church to work with the younger kids two times per month. We have programs called Kidz Rock and Jesus and Me (JAM) for kids 3 years old - 4th grade. I have a great time playing with and teaching the kids. I also help do sound during the service and setup once per month.
I went with my youth group to Guatemala for a mission trip in 2012. What a great experience! We did brick and concrete work, gave clothes and toys to kids and got to play a lot of soccer every day. We had to work hard before we went to collect items to give away and raise money to go. We had 20 people go from our church. This was the fourth mission trip my parents had led, and it was great to finally go and see where my youngest sister, Amalia came from!
I went with my church youth group to do yard work and fix things around small day car facility.
I have gone with a school group to help clean and do maintenance at a special needs school.
