Personal Highlights

I earned my Bronze award in Girl Scouts in 2015. Played on a basketball team for the first time this winter and made the All-Star team. I also play percussion in my school band and do summer swim team.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I love soccer and want to keep playing it for as long as I can. I would like to coach soccer when I get older. Also, my dad was a college athlete.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the field I am always vocal and help direct my teammates when they need help. I help my coaches whenever they ask for volunteers or help, too. I always practice good sportsmanship to be a good example to other players. Even though I hate losing I never become a bad sport when that happens. Off the field I am a leader in my girl scout troop. I help out the younger girls and the ones that are shy or having troubles. I am also an anti-bullying leader in my school.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I have a 3.8 gpa on my last report card. My parents have taught me how to manage my time so that I can balance soccer with getting really good grades. I am also involved in 2 school bands, summer swim team, girl scouts, boy scout projects with my brother, family day trips to national parks and other fun places and having lots of friends. My parents always tell me that grades come first and that I have to have at least a 3.5 gpa to keep doing all of my things.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am an active girl scout who just earned my bronze award. I will continue until I earn the GOLD award which is the girl scout equivalent of Eagle Scout. Through my school, my girl scout troop and my brothers boy scout troop I am involved in lots of community service projects.
