Volleyball Honors

Ashley was on Texas Premier Volleyball Club this past season and has been on multiple club teams since 6th grade. She has played middle for virtually her whole volleyball career. She has been Team Captain on most of her teams and is a definite leader on and off the court.

Ashley is also a starter on her varsity team at Cinco Ranch High School. The team is doing very well and has multiple committed college players on this team and produced several division I & II players over the last couple of seasons.

CRHS was district and area champs this year! Great year!

Ashley earned 2nd team all district with 1st team going to a D1 committed middle.

WE WON DISTRICTS!!! 2014 Katy ISD District Champs!

Ashley is one of the leaders in blocks for a very competitive district.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Joseph loves playing basketball and is extremely competitive. He wants to continue having the ability to compete while in college and push his body to it's max.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Joseph has often been the captain of many of his teams and is definitely able to think quickly when he is in the game helping to get other players into position and really just talking well while he is on the court. He works well with his teammates and is known as a defensive stopper.

Off the court Joseph has been a leader in the youth ministry in church taking opportunities to talk in front of the congregation and to help coordinate youth participation in the services.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Joseph is very dedicated to his work on and off the court. He studies as hard as he practices and is always working ahead. Whether it is getting assignments done well in advance of the due dates or planning ahead for the next game to make sure he is ready to face his next opponent.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Joseph is heavily involved in our church and the youth program including going on mission trips to help people that have either been through a disaster (like hurricanes) or living in extreme poverty. Having the opportunity to impact the lives of others has been really rewarding and hard to put into words. It helps to keep perspective and to really appreciate even the most basic things.
