Varsity starter and letterman (2014-2017)
Four year six rotation starter. Three year 5-1 setter with the height to put up a strong block, strong attacking skills and able to play in a quick tempo offense. An on court leader who can create momentum for my team. Two year captain and state champion. Named All State as a junior.
I'm a high volleyball IQ player, with the ability to read the court and attack successfully both right and left handed.
I am a serious and competitive setter. I work hard on and off the court and am constantly working to improve my game. I moved to Dallas at the beginning of 10th grade and earned the starting setter position on Greenhill's varsity team, where I run a 5-1 offense and have led the team to back to back SPC championships (state championship). Named All SPC (All State) as a junior and received the coach’s award recognition. I’m a strong on court leader with the ability to effectively block and attack as well as get the ball to my hitters.
I’m a serious student with a cumulative unweighted 4.0 GPA, a 35 ACT composite and 800 on my SAT subject tests in Math II and Chemistry. I’ve scored a 5 on all seven of my completed AP exams as well.
At school I’m an active member of the student body serving as President for Women in STEM, President of Space Club and President of the Baking Club, as well as Captain of the Math Team. I also write a recurring column for the school paper and play guitar in a student rock band.
I love volleyball, and while academics are my top priority, I want to attend college where I can find a healthy balance of both. I can not imagine not playing volleyball in college. I believe that my time invested in volleyball as been a valuable tool to developing my leadership and time management skills.
On the court, I was elected captain my junior year, even though it was only my second year at the school playing with the team. I've been a captain two years now, leading my team both on the court and off. I am also the President of Women in STEM, Captain of the Math Team and President of the Space Club. I take my passions to the next level by organizing, leading and inspiring others.
I work to balance my personal, volleyball and academic interests to ensure I stay focused on each, with a little down time in between.
I have been actively involved as a volunteer at the Salvation Army of Memphis, working both in fund raising and in service with the Kroc Center and the Hardin House facilities. I was recognized this spring for my fund raising efforts with The Order of the Bell Award associated with the Mid South Salvation Army's Red Kettle efforts. In addition, I've served as a volunteer youth volleyball coach for several years, teaching skills and serving as a role model for middle school girls.
