Personal Highlights

I am a Senior at Prior Lake High School in Minnesota, class of 2016. I started diving in summer 2013 at my high school, and in June 2014 at the University of Minnesota with Minnesota Diving Academy. I am a former gymnast, and I love to try new things. My swim and dive teammates voted me Rookie of the Year and the team member with the biggest heart in 2013, and Most Dedicated in 2014. I will be a team captain for the 2015 season. I was named All Conference and took 14th place at the 2014 Minnesota State High School Meet - while diving with a broken foot.

I love to learn, and I am excited to figure out where my college career will begin. My GPA is 4.07/4.0 and my class rank is 18/599. My ACT score was 33. I have taken 3 AP History tests, an AP English test, AP Calculus test, and AP Physics test. I am taking 3 AP classes during my senior year.

In my future, I want to continue diving through my undergraduate years and major in medical sciences, preparing me to become a doctor. Helping others through medicine is my ultimate goal, even though I’m unsure of what my exact major will be at this time.

My activities outside of diving have included National Honor Society, Junior Optimist Club, Speech Team, Winter One Act Play Tech crew, YMCA Special Olympics Volunteer, YMCA volunteer summer camp counselor, and volunteering for the Simpson House in Minneapolis providing meals for the homeless.

My current one meter dive list includes:
103B 104B
201B 203C
301B 303C
401B 403B

5132D 5231D 5225D

I am also working on 105C, 203B, 404C, 5124D, and 5233D.

I started diving on the 3 meter board at MDA in June 2014. My current 3 meter dive list includes all of the above 1 meter dives, plus 105C, 404C, and 5134D. I have participated in one 3 meter meet to date – the Minnesota State Outdoor Diving Meet in August 2014.

My highest 6 dive dual meet score is 256.25 on Oct 7, 2014. My highest 11 dive meet score is 415.1 at the Duluth Invitational on Oct 4, 2014.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer at the local YMCA summer camps, and Special Olympics.
