Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

-I have demonstrated my leadership as a Capital Crew athlete through my work in both leadership by example as well as being my teams "whip" which is an assistant captain position which works to ensure that the team stays focused on the task at hand as well as leading workouts on land when the coach is not present. Off of the field I work to lead in my many extracurricular activities. As a member of the Civil Air Patrol I am a Cadet Senior Master Sergeant and serve as a safety NCO as well as a Flight Sergeant. I am also an Eagle Scout and lead my troop as well as being a counselor at my local Boy Scout Camp.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

As a member of my community and a Boy Scout I feel a strong calling towards helping my community. I strive towards accomplishing at least 10 hours of community service a semester and another 10 over the summer. I am also an Eagle Scout and my project took over 400 man hours with just under 100 of them being directly from myself. My project was building a 10x12 shed for a local non-profit organization called Fat Kitty City. I am also a member of the National Honor Society.
