Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

For the last 3 years I have been a buddy for the Grand Island NY Miracle League. The Miracle League's charter is that anyone can play baseball/sports. The Miracle League is a safe and handicap friendly baseball park, that is constructed to allow boys and girls with any type of disability, age to play baseball. The Miracle League is sponsored by the Buffalo Sabres and has many opportunities for the local community to be involved. By being a "Buddy" for the Miracle League, each year I am assigned to a particular child/young adult who has a specific disability so they can have a safe and fun time playing baseball. We spend each Sunday playing games and every gets a turn at bat and a turn in the field. There are many "special" days during the season, like Buffalo Bison's day, Buffalo Sabres Day, Fireman's Day, etc..
