Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I think that I show leadership both in and out of the pool. In the pool, I have found that even though I am not a captain, I am a source of both swimming-related and personal advice for many of the guys. I actually believe that I can do more not being a captain then I could as a captain, because I seem to be more connected to the guys. Out of the pool, I do my best to be a good role model for others, and to always do what seems best in every situation.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I work very hard towards my pursuit of success. Through the summer, I did two-a-days and went for occasional runs as well. Now that school has started, I swim Tuesday and Thursday mornings, as well as doing drylands and swimming every week night.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

My main way of getting involved with the community is in swimming related ways. I try to time for every meet that I am not guarding for. I also help my high school coach in anyway that he needs. Finally, I'm always trying to get more people involved in swimming through our high school. This means a lot to me because I realize that swimming isn't the most popular sport and doesn't have to most funding, and I try to do my part to help it continue in West Bend.
