Personal Highlights

I have been on school teams since 6th grade. I was a starter as a 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grader. I was captain of the WOHS freshman and the JV teams. I have played club ball as a starter for three years and was captain of the Sonshine Gold 16U team for 2014-2015 season. I also went to nationals as a member of Central Florida Volleyball Club (18u) in 2015 in which I played as a starter (outside hitter). I am currently on the West Orange High School varsity team for the 2015-2016 school year. I have also played at the University of Florida volleyball camp during one week in the summer for four years, University of Tampa camp for one week (2 years), Rollins College camp for one week, and Baptist Church camps for two years. Regarding club ball, during the first season I was thirteen and played on the 16U team. During the second season, I was on the 18U team as a 14 year old. For the 2014-2015 club season, I was on the 16U team because there was not a Sonshine18U team for my area but I also played on the 18U CFVC team that went to nationals. Currently, I am on the West Orange High School varsity team (#8) (August 2015 - November 2015). I enjoyed my leadership position as captain of the WOHS freshman and JV team(s) as well as the Sonshine 16U team. I am also a member of the WOHS NHS. I like helping the community and have been a volunteer at the local hospital since 2014. I am looking forward to playing college ball.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the court, I have helped pull my team together in order to work as one unit when we were losing a game. Off the court, I have helped the team members to treat each other equally and not talk poorly about other team members.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I eat healthy and exercise regularly in order to obtain my goal to be a college volleyball player.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

In 2014, I started volunteering at Health Central on a weekly basis. This position is important to me because I want to help the patients during their recovery period. I have also helped out the elderly by taking care of their yard work or house work when they were unable to do so due to medical issues. I feel it is important to help others in need.

On 8/2/15, I saved a horse. A horse was in the road and almost got hit by a car. She was scared to death. I was able to calm the horse down and get her out of the road. My mom knocked on several...
