Volleyball Honors

My freshman year at Bishop Lynch, I was the staring Libero and team captain. I was also awarded Defensive MVP at the end of the season. My sophomore year I was also the starting Libero and team captain for the JV team. I was also named defensive MVP at the end of the season. I started every single game during both of these seasons.
During my 14u club season at Blocksport, I was the starting Libero and started every game. I was also named team captain, and at the end of the season was awarded defensive MVP and team MVP. Our team finished the season ranked in the top 30 out of over 150 teams. During my 15u club season, I was also the starting Libero and started ever game. Named defensive MVP at the end of the season.

Volleyball Additional

During my 15u season, I tried out for the USA Volleyball team. I was selected by USA Volleyball to attend the A3 camp in Vernon Hills, Illinois. This was a great honor and achievement, and the experience was invaluable.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I try and lead by example,by providing a good example to my teammates on the court and in the classroom. I give 100% on the court and in the classroom as well. My teammates are with me on the court, and I share many classes with them. Several of my high school teammates are also on my club team.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I do this by excersizing when I am away from the court or not in the gym. I also attempt to maintain a healthy diet and eat foods that are going to provide me enough energy to get through my workouts. While on the court, I dress appropriately and wear the proper protective gear.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I regularly participate in community service by feeding the homeless in downtown Dallas. I also make gift bags for needy people during the holiday season.
