Personal Highlights

I played for Mt. Sinai FC my Primary school football team. Originally I was deployed at left back because the team was short on players on that particular position. I made the position mine and played there for 2 years running. I was promoted to team captain soon after... As an attacking fullback.. I created so many chances for my team and was good on the ball. The coach changed my position as an attacking midfielder and for seven years running i have played that position. The next three years after i familiarized myself with the position and adopted it up until i finished as the league's assist leader.

I was promoted to senior team after my graduation to High School. Currently playing for Tumaini High FC.. Not only have I been promoted to be club team captain for this senior team but also lead my team to glory by winning the league cup.

Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I was the supervisor at the children's home as i supervised both the cleaning and donation. I made sure everything went as per the script. As the newly appointed school team captain, I help the coach in our daily training routines and analyzing of both our strong and weak positions on the team and how to improve.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Exercising is first priority as it helps:
- Keep the body fit.
- Less tension, stress and mental fatigue
- Improved sleep
- Less anger and frustration
- Most importantly having fun

It should not only be Physical but also Mental. Eating of a balanced diet is also another factor and not forgetting drinking water to keep the body hydrated and cool... at least 8 cups per day. I believe a healthy mind leads to a healthy body thus after all that I make sure that I get the required rest.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have participated in helping the nearby Children's Home proposed by our school by donating foodstuffs and helping them with their general cleaning and also to give them the satisfaction of having our company. This has helped me realize to never take life for granted and to appreciate the little we have.
