Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Coach Chelednik (Sectional Championship): "Sarah is and continues to be the rock of this team. She continues to be the ultimate competitor, a steady and smart player, and a great leader…She competes every point, every game, and never throws away an opportunity, which drives her opponents crazy.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Sarah Yan (TOC Semifinals): "We knew coming in today that our doubles teams could run into some trouble, because West Windsor is known to have such strong doubles teams. So we [the singles players] had to step up. We had to have great concentration, we had to execute, and we had to play with confidence. We did that and I'm proud of everyone for coming through."

Sarah Yan (Group II Championship): "You never want to be too optimistic, but I do think we were built to win this championship. When we played our challenge matches they were so close, and that showed us just how strong we were at the singles positions. And then, when we took into account the talent and experience we had at doubles, we started to recognize the potential of this team."

Sarah Yan (MCT Championship): "My teammates were right there with me, cheering me on, and I do the same for them. We're always side-by-side regardless of who is on the court. Even though it seems like an individual effort, it still feels like a team accomplishment to me."

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
