2012 Lake Forest High School Diving Most Improved Athlete
I was born in Des Moines, Iowa but have lived in Lake Bluff, Illinois for most of my life.
I have played a lot of different sports but have logged many hours on the baseball fields as a lefty pitcher through age 14. But even after a long day of travel baseball I always had energy left for practicing flipping and twisting on my back yard trampoline. As a freshman at Lake Forest High School I participated in cross country in the fall, but then in the winter tried diving for the first time. I loved the sport from the very beginning, and was encouraged along by my awesome high school coach, Pam Uhrik, and I never looked back. I was named LFHS Most Improved Athlete 2012-2013 and Most Valuable Athlete 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. That spring I began club diving with the Chicago Dive Club and have benefitted from the coaching of Alik Sarkisian and Pat Noyes. This year I made a trip to Greensboro for synchro nationals and AT&T Nationals in Orlando in 16-18 1m, 16-18 3m and Senior Men 1m. These experiences have helped me learn and grow as a diver. I am excited to have made NISCA/Speedo All America honors and look forward to leading my dive team as captain in the upcoming school year. In the meantime I am now working with Susan Bromberg at Windy City Diving to help prepare myself to be the best diver I can be in college.
My favorite academic subjects are math and chemistry and in my spare time I enjoy snowboarding, wake boarding, trampoline, spending time with my friends and brothers (Zack age 19 and Ben age 15), and playing with my dogs Edna and Wilson. I volunteer when I can with Great Lakes Adaptive Sports.
