Personal Highlights

I have been running track since 7th grade. I ran the 200m dash and the 400m and 800m relay. At my first year of high school at Heritage High School, I made the varsity team as a freshman with Coach Littlefield as the head coach. After coming into an already amazing foundation, I helped my team win districts for the 2nd year in a row and the following year. I anchored the 400m relay and I was 3rd leg on the 800m relay.Later on in the season, I had to sub in the 4 by 4 m relay because one of my teammates was injured. Running it for my first time I ran a 56 split, helping my team move on to regional from area and winning area by 3 points. At regional, we broke a 15 year streak of Lancaster High School. We beat Lancaster in the 400m relay by .3 secs with a time 47.86, the 800m relay with a time of 1:39.97. Also getting third in the 1600m relay helping us become regional champs and qualifying for state in all three relays. After my second reappearance at state, my first as a freshman as a alternate; however this time I actually got to compete. We placed 5th at state. My goal for my junior is to qualify and fully succeed at state. At 17 years of age, I can only get better. Video of 2014 Regional on YouTube: 2014 Region II 4A | Girls 4x100 Final | 47.86 -lane 5, 4th leg; 2014 Region II 4A | Girls 4x400 Final | 3:49.35 - lane 3, 2nd leg; 2014 Region II 4A | Girls 4x200 Final | 1:39.97 - lane 6, 3rd leg.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Being in a newly built school that only holds freshmen ,sophomores, and juniors. As a junior I feel as thought it's my responsibility to encourage and be a leader. As a person with more experience, I love being able to help those that are struggling or just giving them overall support throughout the year so that they may succeed.
Also throughout the school year if anyone needed help with schoolwork or just making their way around a new school, I've always love to help those in need.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

As a member of New Life Community Church, I volunteer in the nursery watching the toddlers and infants. Also as a member of DECA from my high school , we often participate in community service such as benefit walks, feeding the homeless, or working in soup kitchens. I love being able to help those in need and seeing them happy and grateful.
