ALL CAREER STATS INCLUDE TRAVEL BASKETBALL/AAU/CLUB
My goals at this point are simple. I want to play collegiate basketball and become a lawyer. I am extremely dedicated to the game and I know I have a lot to learn. I would be a good candidate for a college team because I am a team player and try my best to be what a team needs. I have strong leadership qualities seeing as I am a varsity soccer captain. I am very coachable and I always persevere. I always give 110% and I never back down from a challenge. Basketball is not just a game to me. It is my life. I live, breathe, and sleep basketball
My name is Ameerah Attia. I am a senior at Franklin Heights High School in Columbus, Ohio. I am 6'0 tall and I am the center for my high school team but have also played forward and wing for my travel team. Some key facts about me as an athlete are:
I received the “All OCC and All Conference Honorable Mention” as a sophomore.
I achieved a personal goal of scoring more than 15 ppg against some of the toughest competition that I have encountered at the GBA Top 80 Showcase… four days after I separated my shoulder!
I am a TEAM PLAYER! It is important to me that I play for a team that understands the importance of working together as a “basketball family”.
I work my butt off and am open to trying anything that my coach recommends. I really want to be the best athlete that I can be and I am not afraid to work hard for it! I would like to major in Political Science, with the intention of enrolling in law school, and possibly minor in Environmental Engineering . I have been challenging myself by taking multiple AP and honors classes. I will have earned a total of 6 college credits upon completion of my senior year of high school. I scored a 21 on the ACT my junior year but intend to retake it in February.
Thank you for taking a couple of minutes to consider whether or not I may be able to fill a need on your team.
I have demonstrated leadership on and off the field by being a captain in both sports that I have participated in. Off the field, I am an older sister with little siblings who look up to me, I am on my third year with the same employer, and have received numerous praises in that aspect. I am a leader in the class room but being a student mentor for the middle school in our are.
I pursue a healthy athletic performance as a student athlete by watching what eat, exercising daily, and never consuming any form of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco.
