Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

During a tough time for my family and myself in the 2012 season when my mother was battling the later stages of Breast/Brain Cancer, I continued to show leadership and commitment by playing my high school/ ASA season and with my dedication and drive, I was able to propel my struggling ASA team to a National Championship while earning myself the 2012/2013 USSSA Northern National MVP.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I believe a Student-Athlete is a person that can handle the stress between going to school, playing a sport, and also having a healthy home life. A person should commit to each individual activity by giving 110% in everything they do and having no regrets.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

Please also find listed below the many organizations and activities that I am active and volunteer for, listed in no particular order; childcare for my immediate neighbors (free of charge), Race for the Cure ( 4 years),help prepare food at Preemption United Methodist church for the churches wonderful Wednesday program (started as a community meal on Wednesday evenings for people in need), I volunteer for Sherrard High School/Red Cross blood drives, I also volunteer for Sherrard High School/ hunger walk with the Tiger Leadership club, and also volunteer for Sherrard High School/Red Ribbon Week, which is a program to teach the hazards about drugs and alcohol to elementary students in our school district,I also volunteer and participated in the FCCLA group/Sherrard High School and made pies for Mr. Thanksgiving annual dinner, and annually as a family my father, sister, and myself volunteer for the Mr. Thanksgiving dinner that is held at Southpark mall that provides a thanksgiving meal to those who are in need or seeking companionship during the holidays. Besides the many organizations and programs I volunteer for we as a family continue since the passing of my mother in 2012 from cancer, we attend any and all benefits whether we know the particular person or not as a way to pay it forward. During what already seems like a demanding schedule, I continue on a weekly basis weight lifting/ batting lessons to hone my softball skill as it has always been my dream to play college ball.
