Water Polo Additional

I have been playing water polo for 5 years now. Earlier I was a competitive swimmer and a club soccer player. I currently play for the club Legia Warszawa. We practice 5 times a week in the pool plus 2 times a week in the gym. During school breaks I go with my club on training cams where we get the opportunity to get a lot more training hours. We play in the Polish league and take part in many tournaments.

Personal Highlights

I live in Warsaw, Poland. I am bilingual speaking English and Polish fluently. I am a very good student, my GPA has always been in the top 3 of my class. I love playing sports. Apart from playing competitive water polo, soccer and swimming I also like: volleyball, skiing, surfing and tennis. I pay a lot of attention to organization which has allowed we to combine competitive sports with great academic results. I hope to continue like this in the future and combine college with a sport that I love.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have taken part in various volunteering organizations and events. I am currently involved in the Volunteers Organization Against HIV/AIDS. In this organization we help people infected with HIV/AIDS and organize public events in which we tell people how to protect themselves from being infected by the virus. I am also a part of a Physics Circle. As one our activities we make trips to hospitals and show physics experiments to children suffering from cancer. Other service activities that I've been a part of include: the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and Food Bank.
My service efforts are important for me because they make me aware of the society's problems and give me the opportunity to get the rewarding opportunity of being part of something meaningful. By volunteering I also get to learn useful skills like: teamwork, organizing skills and communicating skills.
