My name is Cooper Justice and I am a sophomore at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson KS. I originally committed to the University of Utah as a class of 2020 QB and played there through Spring 2021. After speaking with my coaches I moved to the JC system the summer of 2021 to get more development and starting time. Once I have my AA in hand in December 2022 I will look to return to a Division I program.
I love sports and I want to experience sports at the collegiate level.
On the field, my teammates look up to me. I lead warmups, pre-game chants, and manage the huddle as QB. On defense, I'm calling out schemes. When I'm on the sidelines I'm cheering on my teammates and giving high-fives on substitutions. Off the field, I try to lead by doing the right things in and out of school. In school, I lead by example, in 8th grade I worked with a kindergartner "little buddies" throughout the school year. That was one of my favorite things to do at St. Anthony. My club basketball coach asked me to assist him in coaching youth basketball camps. This summer, I volunteered to help coach the Pacers Youth Football camp.
I'm exercising in one form or another pretty much every day (usually take Friday off). My goal is a minimum 9 hours of sleep a night, but I try to get 10+. I keep a water bottle with me at school and a jug of water in the fridge at home to stay hydrated daily. I eat 3 meals a day with snacks in between. Breakfast includes protein, dairy, carbohydrates and fruit. I drink vegetable juice most mornings and usually a protein shake before practices.
Through Scouts I have participated in many community based events including debris clean up, tree plantings, and Eagle Scout projects that usually involved community enhancements. During Cub Scouts we did litter pick up at our school and Christmas caroling at local senior centers.
