Personal Highlights

Brooke started diving around November 2014 and in 3 months has broken 2 school records held at 24 years old and has 2 news paper articles written about her in the Aurora Sentinel. Brooke has also qualified (score 373.45) to Colorado 5A state championship her first year (or 3 months I should say diving) Brooke was also a competitive gymnast and quit at level 8 or 9. She is now very dedicated to diving and can't wait for what's to hold.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I have a huge competitive rival in diving. We go head to head all the time. Sometimes social media gets involved by other students cheering her on and students cheering me and I just mainly try to explain that this is a friendly competition and I want no harm. I am constantly cheering on my other competitors and want to see them succeed. There's no better feeling when you win and every single athlete at that meet has given their all. To me, it doesn't matter if you win a meet with millions of mistakes preformed by a competitor, it matters when everyone has given their all and when you win, you know it's truly a win. Not just a fluke by a couple divers having an off day. At EMAC championships 2015 i was cheering on my budding rival Jessica Mitchell and congratulated her at the end along with every other diver that had competed.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am a gymnastics coach at the previous gym she trained at for 8 or so years. I also in the IB program at my school which is very high advanced courses. I am in Aurora Lights which is a pre-college bio medical class which receives college credit. I am taking a college math class as a Junior in high school currently. I am also in the National Honors Society of Scholars and for my school, by this I am constantly doing community service. I've also accomplished an amazing achievement earlier this year, by presenting a speech for the Gala which to raise money for a career center to help students to go to college at my school (you can look up me speech on youtube by typing in my first and last name) which the governor of Colorado attended, her principle, superintendent of APS, news reporter from channel 4 news, and many more important people.
