Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Volleyball is my language. I was fortunate to have been born into a family of players. My love of volleyball needs no translation. I can visit any country and play a game of volleyball without knowing a word. Playing in college would compliment my love of the game with my love of learning. I want to grow academically and athletically and see how great my volleyball career can be.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Coming from California, Boys volleyball in Texas has a long way to go. I've partnered up with some local clubs to keep them posted on local tournaments so they can encourage and recruit the interested players to develop their abilities and grow the sport here in North Texas.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a very tall athlete I have a lot at risk. Athletes my age and height can sometimes have joint, heart or ligament issues. I've been proactive in my muscle development and stretching. I mix cardio before and after practices and game days to stay flexible and strong. I haven't had any severe injuries and have avoided much of the lanky injuries by having muscle and stamina.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I'm a Mormon. Service starts at a very young age. I have participated in food drives, athletic camps and neighborhood clean ups. I've learned that being of service sometimes benefits yourself more than those you serve. That feel good feeling keeps my eyes open for more ways to contribute to my community and neighbors.
