![]() | Lansing Christian vs Olivet Well Mom and Dad showed up 5 minutes late to see the Pilgrims in Front 2-0. Obviously they came to play tonight against a team that isn't very good. They did have crisp passes and kept the pressure on a team that battled hard. At the end of the first half the score was 5-0 in favor of LCS. Sal played most of the half on defense and obviously was bored as he seemed to smile and look at the stands quite often. He had numerous opportunities coming up on defense to chunk a few at the net in the first half. The second half was different as he moved up between midfield and forward. He had one strike miss against the cross bar and another sail just over it. I yelled at him to remember that he was playing soccer not football and the ball needed to go under the cross bar! Sal had two great assists from the offensive side tonight and set up numerous other scoring opportunities. No goals tonight but many chances and overall good play. LCS got its 8th goal with over 30 minutes left in the game for a Mercy win. Next week will be tough as the face some pretty challengin opponants. LCS now stands at 10-1-1 in second place in the SMAA. There third position ranking in the state will be adjusted with their loss this week to Parma Western. |
