Player Bio – Lauren Menichella

Lauren is a senior at Charlotte Country Day School. As a junior she was captain of the Varsity Lacrosse Team and lead them to a 13 – 4 record. Lauren was the leading scorer on her team with 43 goals (51%) shooting average. She primarily plays the attack position.

In her junior year she received the following awards:
• Named NCHSWLA All State 2nd Team
• Named to NCHSWLA All Conference 1st Team
• Voted MVP by her Country Day Teammates
• Selected for the Queen City Lax Stars High School All Star Team
• Selected to play in the Queen City Top 50 game by Charlotte Lacrosse Boosters

In her sophomore year she received the following awards and distinctions:
• Captain of the Varsity team
• Selected for the North Carolina East / West All Star Game
• Selected for the Queen City Lax Stars High School All Star Team
• Selected to play in the Queen City Top 50 game by Charlotte Lacrosse Boosters

Lauren has attended the Duke University Elite Lacrosse Camp (3 years) and the UNC Chapel Hill Elite Lacrosse Camp (one year).

Lauren has played on a travel lacrosse team during the summer for the past three years, Team Charlotte (one year) and Queen City Stars (two years). Lauren is also currently playing for Queen City Stars this fall.

Outside of Lacrosse Lauren plays Varsity Tennis and sings in the Chamber Choir (participants are selected through audition). She is an honor student with a 3.75 average in the International Baccalaureate Program. She is active in a variety of clubs including Big Brother/Big Sister and Aquilifer, a girls only service club. Lauren also coaches a lacrosse team in the spring (Charlotte Youth Lacrosse Association – CYLA).
