Basketball Honors

I am currently the leader in scoring, assists, 3PT, 3PT% and
steals. I can play both of the positions mentioned above but generally I
play shooting guard.
. Every summer I travel to different tournaments and most of the
times we have been awarded with the first place trophy or medal.
. I have received many awards and I have always been able to play
well against the best players and teams of south U.S.
. During my high school career I was invited to play for several
public schools but my father decided I would go to a private school
because of the better educational standards. Basketball at my school is
not recognized as much as public schools making it harder to be seen by
college scouts until we get to the TAPPS regional.
. I have won the most valuable player in several tournaments
including the El Paso Shoot Out and The Gold Tournament of El Paso.
. While being in my city team, El Paso Rams, we won tournaments in
Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Odessa, Midland, Roswell N.M., Dallas,
Austin, San Antonio and El Paso.
. In 2002 I was named Mr. Youth basketball by El Paso Parks and
Recreation which is the best all around player in the city.
. Since my father is of Mexican nationality I have had the
opportunity of playing in Mexican nationals in 1999 and in 2001, and I
was also selected to play for Mexico at international tournaments.
. In the semifinal of the 2004 AAU tournament in Albuquerque I
made 9 threes finishing the game with 32 points.
. As a junior in high school I was named player of the week by The
El Paso Times after scoring 35 points.
. I also received all tournament honors at a tournament at Fabens,
New Mexico.
. This year, of 30 games I have played in 9 I have scored more
than 20 points.
. When I attended the Tim Hardaway basketball camp I was awarded
the "best shooter" award.
In my last game this season at the bi-district playoffs I score 28 points, 5 steals,2 blocks,2 assists, You can see a clip of this game at http://www.berecruited.com/movies/basketball28467_1.wmv
