Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

One reason is that I would like to be seen, by more people, as a good role model. I want to use my status to inspire kids to do good in school. Another reason is that I would love the chance to play competitively with other great athletes from around the country.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

On the court I am a point guard, my job is to make sure the pieces of the puzzle are where they're supposed to be. My teammates look to me for direction and copy my reactions to the game. Off the court, I live in a big family, and they all have a lot of friends. I try to teach my siblings and their friends good healthy habits in order to be a better person.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue healthy athletic performance as a student-athlete by perfecting a balanced diet, working out in the offseason, having a healthy balance between sports and completing my schoolwork, and avoiding drugs and alcohol.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have always been taught the importance of giving back to my community. I strive to inspire young children and be a good role model for them. One way I do this is volunteering to read books to the kids at Snipes Elementary School every Tuesday before school. I enjoy this because I get to connect with them, build relationships, and improve their social skills. I also volunteer as a referee for a local youth basketball league. I bring a positive and encouraging attitude to teach these young players the game I love.
