Head of the Hooch

Just got home from Chattanooga and am so tired! Today was our only day of racing but we raced twice. Our first race was scheduled at 11 so we decided to head to the start around 9:50. Our eight came in 3rd out of 24 which was really exciting, although it is not first, and I was in 7 seat. Next, we raced a four at 4:20. While we were REALLY hoping to get first, we got 2nd out of 28 which I am still very pleased with considering 3/4 of our boat (not me) is lightweight and we still can compete with these open weight fours. I stroked the four and kept a solid 29 throughout the 5K piece. The river was beautiful and I can definetly now see why they hold the 2nd largest regatta in Chattanooga. Now it's time to think about next week, Head of the South here we come!
